Alright for my first blog post it only makes sense to talk about one of my favorite things...sunscreen! Why do I love it so much? Well because the Sun is the #1 cause of premature aging (#2 is smoking) and the best way to prevent sun damage is to protect your skin from it! You can do that by.....
1. Staying out of the sun (now thats a little hard unless you are a vampire like me haha),
2. Wear a wide brim hat. No ladies a baseball cap just won't cut it if you want serious sun protection. My favorite hat company is the San Diego Hat Company!
I love the Ultrabraid hat. Its the one I wear like every second I'm outside and what I have on below. I loecause you can do a cute top not or a half up/half down hair do! I got mine for like $26 or so on Amazon.
3. Wearing a high quality SPF! I am sorry girls, but a lot of the sunscreens at your local grocery store won't cut it.

There are two different types of sun protection. There are "chemical" sunscreens that contain chemical ingredients that protect the skin from UV damage. They are the most popular on the market today.
These products typically include a combination of two to six of the following active chemical ingredients: oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate and octinoxate. According to EWG. Org "Laboratory studies indicate that some chemical UV filters may mimic hormones, and physicians report sunscreen-related skin allergies, which raises important questions about unintended human health consequences from frequent sunscreen application." No bueno girls. No bueno!! They are also a lot more irritating for your skin.
The other and far better form of sun protection is "mineral" sunscreen. These sunscreens contain natural ingredients called zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.
Unlike chemical sunscreen, mineral (aka physical sunscreen) contains active mineral ingredients which mainly works by sitting on top of the skin to deflect and scatter damaging UVA rays away from the skin. It is often referred to as a physical blocker. These are far better for your skin!
My hands down all time favorite sunscreen is LimeLife's Perfect Sunscreen. I received a bottle of this baby when I went on the Aruba incentive trip and both my hubby and I are OBSESSED.
